Bud Hartley is General Manager, Business Development and Delivery, for K&R Negotiation Associates. Bud’s experience includes 36 years with the IBM Corporation in the sales and software divisions. While with IBM, Bud held various line, staff, and management positions in customer executive education, information systems management, vendor relations, pre-sales support, marketing, sales, systems engineering, and technical support.
After retiring from IBM in 2003, Bud joined a major IBM reseller as the executive in charge of establishing and improving strategic alliances and cooperative selling agreements with industry software vendors, consultants, systems integrators and I/T decision influencers. He joined K&R as an independent contractor in 2004.
Bud spent much of the past twenty years negotiating organization alliances and technology agreements for IBM and other companies in the high technology industries. Bud’s experience in business development and vendor relations includes managing the relationships with two significant IBM software technology partners. In addition his twelve years of direct sales experience, Bud spent many years in customer executive education where he assisted client decision makers in understanding and applying technology to their business needs. Bud also spent over ten years developing and executing marketing programs that articulate customer value, which is a critical component in effective sales negotiations.
Most recently, Bud was the Vice President of Sales, Service, and Marketing at Pacific Cargo Control, Inc. in Tualatin, Oregon.
Bud resides in Portland, Oregon.
